Fabric Buildings for Sheep & Goat Use

Looking for a healthy alternative to traditional wood and steel buildings for your herd? A fabric covered building is a great choice for your animals! Air quality and bright light inside a fabric building make a healthier environment for livestock. They are installed quickly and are a cost effective option.

Ontario’s OMAFRA website devotes a page to the benefits of fabric covered buildings for livestock.  They state, “Fabric-covered buildings can provide a low cost alternative for livestock that can be housed in a cold environment. Properly designed, they provide a bright airy well ventilated environment that can be a pleasure to work in.” http://www.omafra.gov. on.ca/english/livestock/beef/news/info_vbn1013a1.htm

From Ontario Sheep News, March 2010: “Pre-engineered buildings such as fabric covered arch-framed buildings or hoop barns, are common in Ontario’s Agricultural Community. These structures are used for hay, machinery and manure storages as well to house sheep. Properly engineered, constructed and maintained they can offer years of useful economic service.”
